Last October marked the end of Keri’s 2011 tour, and we’re all anxiously awaiting the announcement of Keri Hilson 2012 tour dates. But even as we wait for a chance to see her live, fans are wildly anticipating two other huge events for Keri, While we all can’t wait for the chance to see her live, But besides this year’s tour, Keri has a couple of other treats for her fans, including a new album and her acting debut In an October 2011 interview with BET’s 106 & Park, Keri announced that she’s currently working on her third studio album, but we’re still waiting on what the release date is. Even if her third album doesn’t come out in 2012, Keri’s still got quite a big year. We can’t wait until March 9, 2012 when Keri makes her acting debut in the film Think Like a Man. The film is an adaptation of Steve Harvey’s book, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” a non-fiction best seller released in early 2009 that attempts to give women advice on what men feel and think. In the movie, four men discover that the women in their lives have been reading “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man,” and have been using its information against them. The four friends decide to retaliate in their own ways and the result is a hilarious battle of the sexes. Although not one of the leading ladies, Keri does grace the film with a cameo appearance. We are so excited to see Keri on film and can’t wait for March 9!

It’s gotta be tough being Keri Hilson. She’s drop-dead gorgeous, wildly successful (her second solo LP, No Boys Allowed, just dropped) bracingly to the point, and has got to hurt.

I recently caught up with the R&B siren, 28, to discuss her frequent collaborator Kanye West — and other men who may be in her life soon!

UsMagazine.com: Your pal Kanye West had quite a year last year! Thoughts?

Keri Hilson: I do love and respect his honesty as an artist. I think that if you heard a lot more artists talk candidly, he wouldn’t be as big a deal as he is. A lot of artists are media trained and a lot of them say what they’re supposed to say, not what they really want to say or how they think or feel at that moment in time. He may choose an inappropriate time or place to say it, and I don’t condone anything he says, but the honesty factor is appreciated. I think that we should be allowed to say the same things we might say behind doors while on camera. He’s got some balls!

US: What would surprise people most about him?

KH: He’s one of the nicest artists that I ever worked with. On the “Knock You Down” video shoot, he was so easy. He was on time — and people would think that he  would have a huge entourage and be late and rude to everyone, but he was so easy to work with. He acknowledges everyone in the room, he’s very considerate, and he’s never rude.

Earlier this week, Avon put the rumors to rest and confirmed signing singer/songwriter Keri Hilson as the spokesmodel for Avon’s Imari fragrance and Color makeup collection (replacing Jennifer Hudson in the process). While we’ll have to wait until August to see the sure-to-be-stunning images from Hilson’s shoot, StyleList was able to catch up with the Grammy-nominated performer after the news broke to discuss her transition from self-described tomboy to the face of a major beauty brand.

StyleList: Did you ever think the day would come when you had a beauty contract?
Keri Hilson: I never thought I’d be the face of a beauty brand, but it’s kind of every female artist’s dream to exude beauty for a company known for that. They approached me and it wasn’t a hard decision for me. Avon represents so many women of every color, of every age. It’s been in business for over 100 years. I’m all about approachable beauty and approachable style. I didn’t want to do something that was so exclusive that no one would relate. So it’s an awesome thing for me to be a part of.

StyleList: Did you use Avon products before the contract?
KH: I remember Avon ladies coming to our door when I was a kid and I think my mom let me order a few things throughout the years. It was just really neat to see the box arrive and it was when I first started wearing lipstick. My mom still wears Avon.
