Known as The Ultimate Keri Hilson Dance Challenge, this Channel O exclusive sees four top-notch dance crews vie for the opportunity to join Hilson on stage when she performs at South Africa’s Coca-Cola Dome. Hilson is arriving in Mzansi mid-October for a trio of performances alongside John Legend: the singer and songwriter performs on Thursday, 15 October in Cape Town; Saturday, 17 October in Durban; and on Sunday, 18 October in Johannesburg.

The crew that wins The Ultimate Keri Hilson Dance Challenge will rehearse with the superstar in Durban and perform live at her Coca-Cola Dome show on Sunday, 18 October. Footage of the dance crews battling it out will be sent to Keri in the States where the songstress and her main choreographer will judge the entries whilst in preparation of the much anticipated South African tour. Already the competition is sizzling hot with three of the four entrants having won previous contests. They are MO5 (Channel O Urban Dance Competition Champs); Freeze Frame (Masters of Rhythm Champs); and Reptiles (Strictly Hip Hop Champs). These brilliant dance crews will be joined by the Clinch Crew in competing for The Ultimate Keri Hilson Dance Challenge winner’s crown.

Channel O viewers will be able to be part of the blood, sweat and tears of this amazing dance challenge with a two-part series to be aired on the channel. Episode one, featuring Hilson and her choreographers deciding which crew has what it takes to be on stage with the superstar, will air Thursday, 15 October at 21:00. The second episode featuring the winning crew in rehearsal and performance with Hilson will air on Thursday, 22 October at 21:00. Hilson is building a strong relationship with Channel O. She stars in the lead episode of O-Access Season 4 which airs on Tuesday, 17 November at 21:00. In this episode Nonhle catches up with Keri as she kicks-off the promo tour for her hit album In A Perfect World. Also we go behind the scenes as she films the video for the hit tune ‘Knock you Down’ featuring Ne-Yo and Kanye West.

Keri Hilson premieres a music video of “Slow Dance“, the fifth official single lifted from her debut album “In a Perfect World…“. This would be the second version of the video which was shot with director Chris Robinson in Los Angeles instead of with director Paul Hunter. The video starts off with Keri meeting her friends for a night out and goes back few hours when Keri gets dressed for the outing. “She’s in her house and by herself, and you kind of think it could be serious, but the song drops out in the middle and her friends catch her being all sexy, basically like, ‘What the f**k are you doing? You are not singing by yourself’,” Robinson explained the concept.

Robinson also described in his interview with Rap-Up the experience of shooting with Keri. He said, “Keri Hilson has a great personality and is a real girl. That’s what we want to get across.” This video is also serving as the first video appearance from Chris Brown since his altercation case with Rihanna in February. The R ‘n’ B star is spotted donning a yellow Billionaire Boys Club truckers cap and low slung baggy jeans inside one of the jeeps. Other cameo include those by Omarion, Monica and The Pussycat Dolls’ Melody Thornton and producer Polow Da Don.
